What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant position at Bull's Head Pet Hospital?
Join our family owned small animal veterinary hospital, located in the vibrant city of Stamford, CT! We provide comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care to dogs, cats and exotic pets. We are seeking Veterinary Assistants for full time or part time positions.
Previous experience preferred, but if you want to learn, WE WILL TRAIN! We are looking for someone passionate about dog/cat/exotic pet care and client communication and with the ability to compassionately care for pets.

CANDIDATES MUST:
- Possess excellent communication and listening skills
- Be knowledgeable or proficient in Microsoft Office/Outlook
- Display consistent attendance and timeliness
- Have an ability to multitask
- LOVE PETS!!!
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
- Ability to greet clients in a professional, hospitable manner-check clients in and escort to exam rooms with their pet
- Ability to maintain professional and timely communication with clients via phone call, text, and e-mail
- Scheduling appointments
- Support and assist doctors in exam rooms with pet restraint
- Help maintain accurate medical records in an electronic database
- Filling prescriptions
- Unpacking/restocking
- Inputting charges
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years Veterinary Assistant and/or Veterinary Receptionist experience - will train a great match!!
