Role Description
This full-time, on-site position based in Leawood, KS, involves serving as a Client Service Specialist. The role includes ensuring client satisfaction by providing excellent service and support, addressing client inquiries, managing client accounts, and building lasting relationships. Key responsibilities include assisting clients with insurance or benefit-related needs, ensuring seamless communication, and collaborating with internal teams to meet and exceed client expectations.
Essential Functions
- Knowledge of various insurance carriers and have a general understanding of benefit plans/summary descriptions. (Blue Cross, Aetna, United Health Care, Humana, etc.) ·
- Serve as point of contact for group administrators and employees concerning claims, ID cards, benefit questions, prescription and billing issues.
- Process on-line enrollments, add and terms, in carrier websites, Easy Apps, Employee Navigator. Enter service and client contact notes into BenefitPoint – log calls with the resolution to date.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, ACA/Affordable Care Act guidelines and reporting, State Continuation and Cobra guidelines.
- Be able to respond knowledgeably regarding co-pay, deductible and plan summary client questions.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Client Services and Customer Service
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented professional environment
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred but not required
- Previous experience in the insurance or employee benefits industry is a plus
- KS/MO Health and Life license preferred
