This role will be deeply involved in the company’s financial planning process, partnering with leaders across the business. You’ll help build the forecasts and financial models that guide the business, understand what’s driving performance, and turn those insights into recommendations.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just report the numbers—they want to understand why they moved, what happens next, and what we should do about it.

This role will be deeply involved in the company’s financial planning process, partnering with leaders across the business. You’ll help build the forecasts and financial models that guide the business, understand what’s driving performance, and turn those insights into recommendations.

What You’ll Do
- Own short- and long-range financial forecasts across the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Spearhead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgeting, and monthly forecasting processes.
- Build financial models to evaluate business performance, growth opportunities, investments, and operational decisions.
- Partner with business leaders to develop forecasts, establish financial targets, and understand the financial impact of business decisions.
- Analyze performance against plan and forecast, identify key drivers, and communicate meaningful insights to leadership.
- Develop scenario and sensitivity models to help leadership evaluate opportunities, risks, and strategic decisions.
- Analyze unit economics, margins, costs, capacity, and profitability to identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Support initiatives focused on working capital and cash flow improvement.
- Partner with Accounting during month-end close to understand actual results and incorporate trends into future forecasts.
- Develop and improve management reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and financial planning tools.
- Lead ad hoc analysis for strategic and cross-functional business initiatives.
- Continuously improve BUILT’s forecasting, planning, and FP&A processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or another highly analytical field.
- 8 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, or a similar role.
- Experience in manufacturing, CPG, food, or another operationally complex business.
- Strong financial modeling and forecasting experience.
- Strong understanding of the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement and how they work together.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience building financial models from the ground up.
- Ability to turn complex financial data into clear business insights and recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to partner effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions, asking questions, and digging into the drivers behind performance.
- Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across all levels of the organization.
- Experience with unit economics, cost and margin analysis, inventory, capacity planning, or working capital.
- Experience leading an Annual Operating Plan and recurring forecast cycles.
- Experience presenting financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- MBA, Masters in Finance or Accounting, or related advanced degree.
