Night Floor Crew Position - Janitorial

We have an exciting opportunity available immediately at our client facility near the Portland airport off Colfax St in NE Portland. This is a full time evening modified shift doing nothing but scrubbing production floors. 40 hours per week. The exact schedule will be Sunday through Thursday. Hours will be 10am to 630pm on Sundays and 4pm to 1230am Monday-Thursday. Starting wage is $19.50 per hour with raise to $20 per hour after successful completion of 90 day probationary period and initial training. Punctuality/being on time to every shift and attendance will be very important to this position. Previous experience with operating floor equipment and/or experience working on a commercial janitorial floor crew is REQUIRED. Also, this client has specific access requirements and as such you will need to have a valid US Passport, birth certificate or valid/unexpired work authorization/naturalization documentation in order to gain an access card to work at this facility. If you do not have one of these documents, we will not be able to offer you this position. If you were born in the US, but do not have a birth certificate in hand, we may be able to assist you with instruction on how to obtain one, however this will slow the hiring process, but not make it impossible. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of floors, using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubber and wet vac.
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a clean environment.
• Conduct some lifting and manual handling tasks to move items, supplies, or cleaning equipment efficiently and safely.
• Maintain company standards by performing All tasks in accordance with safety procedures.
• Operate cleaning machinery including floor scrubbers and other custodial equipment to ensure optimal floor care and shine.
• Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries and take care of company equipment at all times.
• Assist with overall management of floor work scheduling and upcoming needs to floors to support overall upkeep.

Requirements

• Prior machine floor scrubbing experience is REQUIRED/MANDATORY for this position
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely and adhere strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks including lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking during shift.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and maintaining equipment.
• Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently during overnight hours, be on time for every shift and have perfect attendance.
• Customer service skills are a plus, as you will interact with client staff and/or visitors in the facility.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial cleaning, custodial floor work, or facilities maintenance is advantageous.
• Must meet access requirement for client facility which require an unexpired US Passport or birth certificate or work authorization documents, NO EXCEPTIONS.
