Building Materials Supplier located in Evans looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist.
The Accountants Receivable Specialist position will report directly to the CFO and will primarily be responsible for accounts receivable management, credit maintenance, and collections. This role will interact directly with different areas of the organization including sales and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Daily, weekly, and monthly invoice delivery to customers.
- Monitor all incoming payments (cash, checks, ACH, credit cards) and ensure they are applied correctly to the customer accounts.
- Follow up with customers on outstanding invoices and payments that are due.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and other customer payment issues.
- Communicate regularly with salesmen regarding past due accounts and payment collection.
- Prepare reports related to accounts receivable activity.
- Process new applications for credit for review by the CFO.
- Collaborate with the CFO in assessing customer credit worthiness to establish and maintain credit limits.
- Work to reduce Days Sales Outstanding.
- Reconcile the AR ledger with the general ledger to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain a collections calendar and assist with lien filings if necessary.
- Balance and reconcile daily cash drawers.
- Prepare daily bank deposits.
- Other duties and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in accounts receivable.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Experience with accounting ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word).
