Construction Foreman

Overview
The Construction Foreman will direct and lead a crew of 3-5 construction employees. Responsible to oversee safety, construction activities, workflow and schedules. Must be experienced in steel structures, pre-engineered building erection, carpentry and commercial framing. Able to read and follow plans, details and specifications. Proficient in directing crews and explaining daily tasks to yield high productivity. Must be professional with good communication skills and the ability to organize field staff and worksite activities. This is a safety critical position with background check.

Duties & Minimum Qualifications include but not limited to:

• Baltimore County Resident (due to local hire laws on current project)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.
• Minimum 5 years construction experience in commercial carpentry and framing.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in managing small construction crews of 3-5.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in sheet metal or structural steel.
• Knowledge of safely rigging and erecting steel structures.
• Experience in pre-engineered metal building and/or metal roofing.
• Experience in coordinating construction tasks by subcontractors would be considered a plus.
• Must be able to read drawings and plans in detail.
• Must be able to pass basic background check.
• Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations.
• Ability to effectively communicate with project managers in writing and verbally.
• Ability to observe proper safety precautions.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
