Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support early childhood education standards.
- Supervise and support classroom staff to ensure effective classroom management, behavior guidance, and individualized child development instruction.
- Maintain compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR certifications.
- Foster open communication with parents to share progress updates, address concerns, and promote a collaborative approach to child care.
- Oversee daily child supervision ensuring safety protocols are consistently followed across all classrooms and activity areas.
- Manage staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate ongoing professional development in early childhood education best practices.
- Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the daycare environment while maintaining accurate records of attendance, incidents, and licensing documentation.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in educational or caregiving settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or nannying roles.
- Demonstrated classroom experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children including curriculum planning and behavior management.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education methodologies, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in childcare environments.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience as a Child Care Director or similar role is preferred.
- Certifications in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and special education are advantageous.
