We are looking for a dependable, safety-focused, customer-minded Delivery Assistant to join our delivery team in Albuquerque. In this role, you will partner with a Delivery Driver to safely transport, unload, place, and assist with the installation of high-end appliances and related products for builders, homeowners, and multi-family communities. You will also serve as a professional representative of BSI in the field, helping create a positive final impression at every delivery.

What You’ll Do

Under general supervision, the Delivery Assistant supports the Delivery Driver in completing safe, efficient, and damage-free deliveries of high-end appliances, cabinets, and countertops. This role is hands-on, active, and customer-facing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Delivery Driver in safely delivering products to builders, homes, apartments, and condos
• Provide navigation and area-awareness support for operation of a 26-foot box truck
• Help load, unload, secure, arrange, and balance products in the delivery vehicle
• Use straps, dollies, and safe handling techniques to move heavy products
• Assist with product placement and limited appliance installation/removal as directed
• Install cords on appliances, install icemakers in freezers, and change appliance hinges
• Verify delivery items and help ensure products are unloaded according to work orders
• Communicate delivery status and report customer concerns or field issues to management
• Help maintain the cleanliness, security, and readiness of company vehicles and equipment
• Report damage, shortages, product concerns, or equipment issues promptly
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and delivery standards
• Work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments to support business needs
• Work overtime when required based on delivery volume and business demands
• Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• a VALID drivers license ( Required)
• At least 6 months of warehouse, delivery, or similar experience
• At least 6 months of experience safely moving and lifting heavy products using dollies, straps, or related equipment
• Experience reading bills of lading, work orders, or other delivery paperwork
• Strong record of reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-centered environment
• Customer service mindset with professional communication skills
• Ability to pass pre-employment background screening

Physical Requirements

This is a physically demanding role. The position requires the ability to:

• Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
• Exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently
• Exert up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, grasp, lift, climb, sit, push, pull, drive, and talk
• Occasionally type and write

Work Environment

This role regularly works in warehouse, residential, construction, and outdoor environments. Team members may be exposed to heat, noise, changing weather conditions, and other delivery-related hazards. A strong commitment to safe work practices is essential.
