Builders Overhead Door Services installs and services residential and commercial garage doors across Missouri and Kansas. We’re a growing company building real systems and scaling with intent. We want people who take ownership and initiative to help the team accomplish our goals.
The role
You’ll help own the money flow from finished job to closed invoice. You’ll help keep receivables current, pay bills on time, and keep our books clean. You’ll also help build out systems that will help us become more efficient and effective.
What you’ll own
- Entering completed service and install tickets into QuickBooks Online accurately and the same day
- Invoicing customers and builders promptly
- Accounts receivable: following up on past-due accounts, working the AR aging report, and reducing days outstanding
- Accounts payable: entering vendor bills, scheduling payments, and making sure nothing is paid late or twice
- Recording payments, reconciling accounts, and catching discrepancies before they compound
- Keeping customer records complete, including an email address on every account
- Finding repetitive tasks and helping automate them with AI tools and software integrations
- Reporting weekly numbers (AR balance, past-due totals, bills paid on time) to leadership
What you bring
- 2 years in AP, AR, bookkeeping, or a similar role
- Hands-on QuickBooks Online experience (required)
- Very strong computer skills, including Excel/Google Sheets, email, and learning new software quickly
- Working knowledge of AI tools and curiosity about using them to work smarter
- Comfort calling customers about past-due balances, professionally and persistently
- Accuracy, follow-through, and the habit of bringing solutions, not just problems
Nice to have
- Construction, trades, or field service experience
- Experience with field service software (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, or similar)
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
