At Builder's FirstSource, a Receiver handles daily receipt of merchandise received from vendor trucks by performing the following duties:
- Examines shipment for defects and shortages against receiving documents.
- Records factors causing goods to be returned.
- Unloads and moves incoming shipments to storage.
- Forwards approved receiving documents to appropriate department for processing.
