Position Overview 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for managing project finances, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely and accurate project reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and compliance with industry-specific regulations.

Essential Functions 

• Project Accounting
• Oversee all financial aspects of assigned construction projects, including AP/AR Invoice Processing, Budgeting, Forecasting, Cost Control and Financial Analysis.
• Prepare and present financial reports, including labor reports, project cost reports, variance analysis, and cash flow projections.
• In conjunction with the Project Manager, support project billings, including preparation and submission of invoices, and follow-up on outstanding payments.
• Conduct secondary reviews of all project costs and expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and ensure proper allocation of expenses.
• Build and maintain accurate and organized financial records, including contracts, change orders, and purchase orders.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2 years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or HR-related roles.
• Proficiency in Spanish a plus.
• Strong ability to source and engage candidates across various platforms.
• Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Passion for talent development and workforce planning.
• Experience with employer branding and recruitment marketing is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Combination of in-office and remote work(3 days in office, 2 days remote)
• General work environment – sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning. 
• Noise level is typically low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

• Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. 

Employee Status: Full-time (Exempt)

Salary Range: $75,000 - $98,000
