Project Accountant

DevCo is seeking a full-time Project Accountant to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. The Project Accountant is responsible for managing the full cycle of subcontract and job cost accounting processes for multiple projects.

Pay Details: $75,000-$90,000/year

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Job Responsibilities

•  Process/Review subcontractors pay applications and vendor invoices in Yardi and Procore.
• Ensure accurate job costing through routine review, statement reconciliations, and coordination with project management.
• Manage cash balances and process ACH/check payments.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
• Complete routine job cost reconciliations between Yardi and Procore, ensuring cost are accurately syncing between the two systems.
• Monthly review of Jobs with Project Managers
• Complete routine journal entries for deposits, distributions, payroll, job cost/general ledger adjustments, prepaid expenses, etc.
• Prepare monthly financials and reports for review.
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual B&O, sales, excise, and use tax returns for multiple cities and states.
• Prepare and file annual 1099s.
• Assist with the preparation of documents needed for financial draw submissions.
• Provide audit and tax support

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent combination of education and/or experience).
• 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with a construction company
• Excellent systems skills including ERPs, excel, word, Docusign, and other software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Yardi and Procore preferred.
• Successful completion of background check and drug screen required.
• Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines.
