Project Manager – Retail Tenant Improvements

Location: Houston, TX

Compensation: ~$110,000 base full benefits

Overview

We’re seeking a Project Manager with experience in retail tenant improvements to oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is ideal for someone who can manage multiple fast-paced build-outs while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage retail TI projects from kickoff to completion (planning, budgeting, execution, closeout)
• Review plans, specs, and scopes to ensure project alignment and constructability
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
• Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, architects, and clients
• Lead subcontractor buyout, negotiations, and contract administration
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and timeline expectations
• Communicate progress, risks, and updates to stakeholders
  
  

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of experience as a Project Manager in construction
• Strong background in retail tenant improvements / commercial interiors
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
• Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar tools
• Strong communication and leadership skills
