Your role & responsibilities
As a Business Development Representative at Bug Busters you will:
- Prospect, engage and consult with new and existing customers in your assigned territory to present tailored pest-control solutions.
- Serve as the lead sales professional: present quotes, overcome objections, close business and ensure the sale transitions smoothly to service delivery.
- Conduct follow-up with awarded bids and leads, monitor progress, and maintain a strong pipeline.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships — earning referrals and repeat business.
- Participate in marketing and business-development activities: trade shows, referral groups, networking, territory growth initiatives.
What you bring to the table
- Minimum 2-3 years of outside (field) sales experience — preferably 2 years in pest control or a home-service environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. (Driving experience for 5 years is preferred, but we’ll consider your overall driving record.)
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working in a field setting, meeting clients face-to-face, managing your territory independently.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, driver‐record (MVR) review and physical fitness test.
- Bonus points: pest-control certification or licensing, experience in outside/home-services sales, strong network of local contacts.
