What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Graphic Designer position at BUFFALO THUNDER, INC?
JOB PURPOSE: To post on social media platforms on a regular basis highlighting Pueblo of Pojoaque Corporate Businesses, promotions and events taking place at Buffalo Thunder and Cities of Gold, as well as employment opportunities at all Corporate Businesses, assist the senior Graphic Designer, the Director or Marketing and the Marketing Team by designing and producing posters, flyers, brochures, newsletter, and other graphic projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and execute social media campaigns for various platforms, including Facebook; Instagram; Twitter and others
- Produces graphic designs, and copy layouts for posters, flyers, brochures, newsletters, and other projects.
- Supports the Marketing department in developing branding concepts for the properties
- Designs logos, brochures, menus and digital graphics and on property collateral
- Interacts with internal and external clients on their projects from initial consultation to final approval of concept
- Create and share engaging daily content, including text, images and videos that promote the company’s brand
- Maintain current working knowledge of all graphics software options and capabilities
- Stay on top of current social media trends and evaluate how the company can best participate.
- Monitor client engagement and interact with clients on social media posts.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure content is informative and appealing
- Keep current with industry news, digital trends, platforms, and experiences that can inform
- Ensures outside production partners deliver a quality product that meets expectations.
- Performs other duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
- Ability to organize and track multiple projects simultaneously, and prioritize
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist including experience with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others
- Graphic design experience on PC and Mac platforms
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong creative mindset
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent Written communication
- Knowledge of multiple online marketing channels
- Gaming Commission hiring requirements
- Professional dress
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates degree or equivalent experience is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Standing/Walking: 60% up to 4 hours at a time; Sitting: 40%
- Casino and business setting
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- Attend events to post live content
- Exposure to noise
- Some light lifting and carrying required
