Golf Sales Clerk

JOB PURPOSE:  To assist our golfing and non-golfing guests with retail purchases in the Golf Shop. Also, during busy times, to assist in answering phone calls and booking tee times.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• ·         Selling of merchandise on sales floor to our guests.
• ·         Assisting in the stocking of merchandise and keeping our sales floor looking neat and clean.
• ·         Using POS system to ring up transactions.
• ·         Answering telephones and reserving tee times.
• ·         Checking in guests who are playing golf.
• ·         Answering guests’ questions about the golf course and the resort.
• ·         Assist guests with questions about the golf course and the resort.
• ·         Assist with monthly inventories.
• ·         Assist with large group events in the areas of organization and execution when/where needed to make the event a success.
• ·         Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):

• ·         Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• ·         Good verbal and written communication skills
• ·         Ability to handle a variety of customer requests and personalities

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•     High School Diploma or Equivalent
• ·         Prior golf shop experience or retail experience a plus but not required
• ·         Standing/Walking/Bending 100%
• ·         Occasional Pushing/Pulling up to 25lbs
• ·         Occasional Lifting/Carrying up to 25lbs
• ·         Some exposure to various weather conditions, hot, cold, windy, dusty
