Responsibilities
- Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers to ensure secure access and compliance with safety protocols.
- Mix, handle, and apply spray foam insulation using specialized equipment, following manufacturer instructions and blueprint specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and airless paint sprayers to install insulation accurately across various surfaces and structures.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the correct application areas and measurement requirements.
- Follow safety procedures rigorously, including proper power tool handling, ladder use, and personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate installation schedules, communicate progress, and address site-specific challenges.
- Conduct quality checks on installed insulation, ensuring proper coverage, adhesion, and compliance with project standards.
Experience
- Prior construction site experience with a focus on building insulation installation or related trades such as plastering, framing, or masonry.
- Familiarity with construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools—including airless paint sprayers—and fabrication techniques.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to ladder use, power tool operation, scaffolding setup, and general construction site safety.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during installation processes.
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for understanding equipment maintenance or troubleshooting spray foam machinery.
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
