We are seeking a Solar Facilities & Systems Specialist to evaluate building systems and infrastructure for solar feasibility. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems within commercial buildings, including service panels, transformers, and points of interconnection.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate commercial buildings to determine solar feasibility
- Assess electrical infrastructure (required), including panels, transformers, and interconnection points
- Review roof systems, layouts, and structural considerations
- Identify building and electrical constraints that impact system design and installation
- Capture accurate site data through measurements, photos, and documentation
- Communicate with facility managers, property owners, and on-site personnel
- Provide clear, organized summaries to engineering and development teams
- Complete and accurate site data captured during the first visit
- Strong understanding and documentation of electrical systems on-site
- Clear communication between field findings and internal teams
- Minimal need for repeat site visits
- Experience working with commercial electrical systems is required
- Ability to identify and understand service equipment, panel configurations, and interconnection considerations
- Experience with commercial buildings, facilities, construction, or related field
- Comfortable working on rooftops and in active facility environments
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in the field
- Strong communication skills
