About the Role:
Join Buffalo Launch Club as a Banquet Manager and lead our team in creating unforgettable events on the beautiful shores of Grand Island, NY. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for hospitality with your leadership skills in a vibrant, community-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of banquet operations, ensuring smooth execution of events.
- Coordinate with clients to customize event details and meet their needs.
- Manage banquet staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain inventory and manage supplies for banquet and restaurant services.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events.
- Develop and implement event timelines and logistics plans.
- Assist in budgeting, reporting, and financial management for events.
- Assist with planning and execution of member events and dinners, planned by entertainment and other committees
- Assist with the management of our a la carte restaurant
- Foster strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in banquet management or a similar role in the hospitality industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and some Holidays.
- Knowledge of event planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Certification in food safety and alcohol service preferred.
- Positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
