What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant position at Buffalo Grove Park District?
The Human Resources Assistant performs a wide variety of HR tasks to support the operations of the Buffalo Grove Park District. This is a part-time, year-round position that will typically average 20-30 hours per week with minor variations depending on the time of year.
Essential Functions:
Recruitment – Assist hiring managers in the recruitment of part-time and summer seasonal employees, including conducting and attending various job fairs.
HRIS Input - Conduct background checks and input new hires and re-hires into the Park District HRIS system. Ensure all employees have all pre-employment screenings completed.
Training - Conduct and/or manage training for part-time employees.
Perform Other Duties as Assigned - Be involved in other various responsibilities of the HR Department. Assist the Superintendent of Human Resources & Risk Management in various HR projects.
Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Some college courses or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
3. Two years of customer service or office experience preferred.
Hourly Salary:
$18 - $20 per hour, depending on experience
