What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitness Floor Attendant position at Buffalo Grove Park District?
The Buffalo Grove Fitness Center is looking for a Fitness Attendant to join our team. The Fitness Attendant monitors and maintains the cleanliness and safety of the facility's fitness floor and exercise areas. This is a part-time permanent position. We do not hire seasonal help. We are seeking a fitness floor opener Sunday's opening shift, 5:45 am to noon.
Job Functions:
1. Monitors the fitness floor for safety.
2. Offer assistance to members' needs.
3. Cleans all exercise machines and minor equipment to showroom quality.
4. Ensures all equipment is kept in the proper area of storage.
5. Adheres to all opening and closing procedures when applicable.
6. Maintains all log sheets required by the Fitness Center.
7. Report, document, and label all broken equipment immediately to the fitness manager.
8. Provide confident, friendly, and encouraging tours to prospective members.
9. Attends all Buffalo Grove Park District/Fitness Center meetings.
10. Provide equipment orientation to new members.
11. Must be able to lift 45 pounds safely.
12. Requires being on your feet for most of your shift,
Qualifications:
Experience in sports and/or the fitness industry preferred.
Experience in customer service is also preferred. This position requires walking, lifting, and bending throughout your shift.
Salary:
$16 - $18 per hour, depending on experience
