We are seeking an experienced Dental Office Manager that will partner with our Director of Operations to support a large and dedicated team, and partner closely with two owner doctors. This role is ideal for a steady, confident leader who brings structure, accountability, and follow-through to an evolving environment. The primary focus of this position is team leadership, patient experience, scheduling to capacity, and operational alignment as the practice continues to scale.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, coach, and support a team of approximately 45 employees with clear expectations and accountability.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and retain high-performing team members.
- Address performance and people-related issues directly, professionally, and proactively.
- Continuously evaluate workflows and implement improvements to support efficiency and growth.
Partnership with Owner Doctors
- Serve as a trusted partner to the owner doctors.
- Translate practice goals into clear systems, and processes.
Patient Experience & Growth
- Monitor patient satisfaction, feedback, and trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Support marketing and new patient initiatives.
- Ensure clear communication, smooth patient flow, and timely resolution of concerns.
Scheduling, Capacity & Productivity
- Ensure provider schedules are built and maintained to capacity.
- Drive consistency around scheduling systems, reactivation, and same-day opportunities.
Financial Oversight
- Partner with the Financial Manager, who oversees payroll, billing, insurance, and A/R.
- Monitor key metrics including production vs. wages, staffing efficiency, and operational costs.
- Support budgeting and data-driven decision making.
- Culture & Accountability
- Build a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure systems and processes are consistently followed.
- Bring calm, organized leadership to a fast-moving, high-standard environment.
Qualifications
- Dental office management experience preferred.
- Experience leading large teams in a busy practice environment.
- Strong understanding of dental scheduling, productivity, and patient experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Confident working closely with ownership.
