What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at Buff City Soap Franchising LLC?
SUMMARY
The Business Analyst will actively partner with multiple departments (Finance, Marketing, Merchandising, eCommerce and Supply Chain) and perform financial analyses to help drive strategic decision-making and profitable growth for Buff City Soap.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report on sales across all relevant dimensions (e.g., channels/stores, products, customers); translate data into clear insights and recommendations that inform decision making (e.g., assortment, pricing, promotions)
- Develop annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and period results reports
- Serve as an analytical thought partner to commercial leaders; create ad hoc financial analyses to support organizational decision making, aligning Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, and eCommerce perspectives into a single source of truth
- Analyze industry and competitive trends and make recommendations based on those trends
- Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data
- Performs other related duties as assigned
BASIC & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Analytics or a related discipline
- 1-3 years of professional experience in Corporate Finance, Marketing, Merchandising or Analytics
- Advanced Excel skills required, knowledge and experience with SQL & BI/Data Visualization tools is a plus
- Excellent organizational and collaboration skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/ standing
- Constantly operates a computer or other office equipment
- Travel: Rarely (Less than 10%)
