Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Meat Wrapper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for wrapping, labeling, and preparing meat products for display and sale in a grocery store or food service environment. This role requires a strong focus on food safety, customer service, and efficiency in handling various meat products while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Duties
- Wrap and label meat products according to company standards and food safety regulations.
- Ensure proper sanitation practices are followed in the preparation area.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering product recommendations.
- Utilize Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for transactions and sales tracking.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products to customers.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including regular cleaning of equipment and surfaces.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation within the department.
Skills
- Strong background in food preparation and handling, with a focus on meat products.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proven sales skills with experience in upselling products to enhance customer experience.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices within the food industry.
- Experience in cashiering, customer service, and cash handling is preferred, but not required
- Previous experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or grocery stores is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
