Responsibilities
- Wrap and package meat products according to company standards and food safety regulations.
- Label products accurately with pricing and expiration dates.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems as needed for customer transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and helping customers with their selections.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the department.
Experience
- Previous experience in a grocery store or quick service fast food restaurant is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Basic math skills for accurate pricing and cash handling are required.
