Office/Showroom Associate – Window Treatment Design Studio
Job Type: Part-time, typically 24–32 hours per week
Pay: Starting at $16 per hour. Full-time hours or higher pay may be considered for candidates with strong dispatch experience.

About Us
Budget Blinds is a custom window treatment design studio specializing in blinds, shades, shutters, drapery, and soft furnishings. We have been operating in the Michiana area for over 20 years. We are looking for a highly organized office associate to support our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, as well as, an independent and creative environment.
Essential Functions
- Greet clients and maintain a professional, welcoming studio environment
- Assisting clients in selections and educating them on product options
- Answer phones, manage emails, filing, and basic data entry
- Prepare client packets and assist with order documentation
- Schedule and dispatch installation teams
- Schedule in-home consultations for Design Consultants
- Help with shipping, receiving, and general office tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, creative workspace
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft 365, Outlook, CRM etc.)
- Interest in interior design, textiles, or window treatments is a plus
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
Qualifications Required
- Proven experience in a customer service or administrative role required.
- Proven experience in a scheduling or dispatch role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a variety of responsibilities effectively.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems, and the ability to easily learn new programs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
- Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand and/or sit for 8 to 10 hours.
Preferred - But Will Train for the Right Applicant
- Some College
- 3 or more years of experience in office or dispatching field employees.
