Lead Installer

Location: Bozeman, MT

Compensation: $55,000 base $26,000–$30,000 performance pay

Target Total: $81,000–$85,000

Lead the installation, service, and repair of custom window coverings for residential and commercial projects. This role owns job quality, efficiency, and team leadership in the field.

• Install and service blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery (manual motorized)
• Program and troubleshoot automation systems (Lutron, Somfy, Hunter Douglas)
• Lead installation crews and manage job execution on-site
• Train and develop installers to increase team capability
• Plan installs, review job notes, and ensure projects are completed correctly and efficiently
• Communicate with customers and internal team members
• Maintain tools, vehicle, and inventory for readiness
• Support light field marketing efforts (door hangers, etc.)

• Team development and reduced need for technical support

• 5 years experience in one or more of the following:
• Window coverings installation
• Finish carpentry or cabinetry
• Residential construction or remodeling
• Glass or garage door installation
• Low-voltage, smart home, or electrical work
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Experience leading projects or crews
• Comfortable with mobile apps and basic tech tools
• Valid driver’s license

• Full-time, year-round
• Typical: 5 days/week
• Average: ~40 hours/week annually
• Peak season: up to ~50 hours/week
• Slower periods: ~30 hours/week
