The Assistant Director, Outreach & Communications supports the execution and continuous improvement of the College’s enrollment communications and student service ecosystem. Reporting to the Director, this role manages day-to-day CRM operations (Element451), campaign deployment, Contact Center communications workflows, and CampusESP communications to ensure timely, accurate, and student-centered outreach across the enrollment lifecycle. The Assistant Director works collaboratively with Enrollment Services and campus partners to coordinate multi-channel communication campaigns that support recruitment, enrollment, and student engagement initiatives. This role also supports messaging resources used by frontline staff and monitors communication performance to improve operational effectiveness and the student experience. Key Responsibilities Support the operational management of the College’s CRM and marketing automation platform (Element451), including communication workflows, templates, and audience segmentation. Build, deploy, and monitor multi-channel communication campaigns across email, SMS, and other digital platforms supporting recruitment, enrollment, and student engagement initiatives. Maintain communication templates, automation workflows, and messaging standards to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and brand consistency. Support messaging tools and response resources used by Enrollment Support Specialists (Contact Center Staff) to ensure consistent and accurate information delivery to students. Assist with management and content coordination for the CampusESP parent and supporter portal, including posts, newsletters, and engagement communications. Monitor communication engagement and service metrics and assist with reporting and dashboard development. Collaborate with Enrollment Services, Student Affairs, Marketing, and other campus departments to coordinate timely enrollment-related communications. Provide operational coordination and guidance related to enrollment communications workflows and messaging resources. Support continuous improvement of communication processes, CRM operations, and data quality practices. Assist with peak enrollment communication initiatives and special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Higher Education Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum three (3) years of experience in enrollment communications, CRM operations, marketing automation, or student services communications. Experience working with CRM or communication platforms such as Element451, Slate, or similar systems preferred. Strong organizational, project management, and written communication skills. Ability to analyze communication performance and support data-informed improvements. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments in a fast-paced environment.
