This is a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen. We are not a plated kitchen, but specialize in volume batch cooking for large crowds. The heat is literal and figurative. You'll be on your feet, moving quickly, making decisions, and holding yourself to a standard that doesn't dip when things get hard. We call it grit — and it's non-negotiable here.

What You'll Do

• Execute recipes and food production procedures with consistency and precision
• Maintain strict standards for food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organization — every shift, no exceptions
• Operate kitchen equipment and utensils with skill and care
• Work alongside your crew in a high-volume environment to deliver quality under pressure
• Problem-solve in real time and communicate clearly with your team
• Hold yourself accountable — we win together or we learn together, but we never make excuses

What We're Looking For

• Someone who shows up ready — mentally, physically, and with a good attitude
• Ability to follow direction and work within systems without cutting corners
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-heat kitchen environment (we want you to know upfront: this job is physically demanding)
• Ability to follow, memorize, and replicate recipes with accuracy
• Ability to understand and complete math, fractions, and percentages
• A genuine commitment to food safety and cleanliness — this should already be part of how you operate
• No experience required — but effort, honesty, and coachability are required

Mr. and Mrs. Buckner with the help of their two sons and their wives, opened the family business in 1980. For three generations now, we have taken pride in being rooted in Christian values and treating ALL who walk through our doors with the same serving spirit.

Here at Buckner's, we serve our fresh, daily menu family-style, meaning everything is brought to your table on a Lazy Susan for sharing a meal with your family and friends. Our meals are made from simple ingredients, and our menu rotates each day. Each time you visit Buckner’s Family Restaurant, you will be treated with excellent service to a home cooked meal.
