Fleet Manager

IMMEDIATE HIRING OPPORTUNITY

Buckley Cable Construction is a lead company in telecommunications. Buckley Cable Construction is also an Essential Workforce, and we are looking to hire a fleet manager to oversee every aspect of fleet operations for our dynamic and growing team.

Responsibilities

· Recommend purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet

· Scheduling and tracking regular maintenance on all vehicles

· Approving urgent or emergency repairs in a timely manner as needed

· Managing vehicle license and registration

· Ensuring all fleet members are licensed and licenses/medical cards are up-to-date

· Recommend field service companies, in all operating areas, for shop and roadside repairs

· Providing reports to management on routine truck scheduled maintenance

· Developing methods to decrease costs and improve efficiency where appropriate

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Proficient knowledge of best driving, delivery, vehicle maintenance and other industry practices
• Basic math and data analysis skills
• Familiarity with transportation scheduling and management software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of basic vehicle mechanics, including the ability to identify when major repairs are needed
• Good problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Exceptional organization, time management and multitasking abilities
• Strong attention to detail

Education

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Salary

• Pay rate Salary $75,000 to $85,000 depending on skills
