Senior Finance Manager, FP&A - SaaS

Chicago, IL (Loop) | Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 remote) | Full-time

About the company

Our client is a private equity-backed software company that builds mission-critical technology for the financial markets. The team is collaborative and moves quickly, and finance plays a real strategic role as the business scales.

What you'll do

• Own the budget, forecast and variance story for Product and Engineering, including headcount, contractors, cloud and software spend
• Tie service delivery costs to the revenue they support and build margin views by line of business
• Build business cases, ROI and build-vs-buy analysis for new investments
• Partner with accounting on development cost capitalization and unit economics
• Shape the annual plan and long-range plan, and prepare materials for executives, investors and the board
• Automate and simplify reporting so leaders get answers faster

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree; MBA or CFA a plus
• 7 years in FP&A, strategic finance or business partnering, ideally supporting product or engineering teams
• Experience in a PE-backed or high-growth SaaS company strongly preferred
• A solid grasp of software cost structures, cloud economics and SaaS metrics
• Strong modeling skills and the confidence to influence technical leaders
• Hands-on experience with modern planning and BI tools and advanced Excel

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary of $127,000 to $155,000
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the Loop office, 2 remote
• Full benefits package
