Senior Accountant – Corporate Accounting (High-Growth Distribution Company)

A fast-growing North American distribution and logistics platform is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate finance team. This company supports a large portfolio of apparel and lifestyle brands and serves a diverse customer base ranging from e-commerce retailers to promotional product distributors. About the Role
This Senior Accountant will be a key contributor to the month-end close, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and cross-functional accounting support for various corporate departments. The role reports to a Corporate Accounting Manager and supports multiple legal entities.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare journal entries for corporate areas (marketing, insurance, HR, IT, intercompany activity, allocations, accruals, etc.)
- Complete and review reconciliations for assigned balance-sheet and P&L accounts
- Perform variance analysis and identify/correct reconciling items
- Maintain accurate and well-documented accounting records
- Partner with internal teams to enhance processes and strengthen internal controls
- Support continuous-improvement efforts across the monthly close process
- Assist with external audit requests and audit readiness
- Contribute to system upgrades, workflow improvements, and project work
- Assist with research and documentation of technical accounting topics
- Help develop and maintain accounting policies and SOPs
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA is a plus
- 4 years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting or large-company experience helpful)
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, nested formulas, etc.)
- Experience with modern ERP or consolidation tools a plus (e.g., Acumatica, OneStream)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment with shifting priorities
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable partnering across departments and influencing process improvement
