Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and inspiring Solo Pastor to lead and nurture our faith community with energetic dedication and spiritual insight. Duties
- Provide spiritual leadership through biblical teaching, pastoral care, and guidance that supports Buckingham’s mission and vision.
- Demonstrate integrity, loyalty, trustworthiness, confidence, and strong organizational skills while bringing energy and commitment to ministry.
- Lead worship, preach Christ-centered sermons, teach Bible studies, and encourage members to grow in faith and discipleship.
- Provide pastoral care through visitation, counseling, prayer, and support during illness, aging, grief, celebrations, and life transitions while maintaining healthy pastoral boundaries.
- Communicate and collaborate with members, staff, secretary, musicians, youth director, and ministry leaders to ensure unity, teamwork, and effective daily operations.
- Partner with the youth director to strengthen youth programs, intergenerational ministry, and engagement across all ages.
- Foster a welcoming and unified congregation by providing clear spiritual direction and encouraging active participation in the church’s mission.
- Address conflict with wisdom and compassion, recognizing unhealthy divisions or cliques while promoting truth, reconciliation, peace, and spiritual growth.
- Support church growth and outreach by bringing fresh ideas, building relationships, and creating opportunities for worship, service, discipleship, and community connection.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a clergyperson within a nonprofit faith-based organization or similar setting.
- Strong teaching skills in religious studies, biblical theology, and Christian counseling with excellent presentation abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities while fostering inclusivity.
- Exceptional communication skills for public speaking, crisis management, and conflict resolution.
- Experience providing hospice care or terminal illness counseling with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Knowledge of pastoral theology, religious leadership principles, and event planning for worship services or community gatherings.
- Ability to offer spiritual guidance in times of crisis or grief while maintaining confidentiality and compassion.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
