We are looking for a motivated and organized Junior Recruiter to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an entry-level position ideal for a recent graduate or a current student looking to launch a career in talent acquisition.
In this role, you will support our senior recruiting team by building the top of the funnel. - Build targeted lists of candidates based on specific criteria (industry, skill set, location).
- Craft and send engaging initial outreach messages to passive candidates to generate interest.
2. Candidate Screening & Coordination
- Review incoming resumes and applications to filter for basic qualifications.
- Conduct initial phone screens (15–20 minutes) to verify experience, salary expectations, and availability.
- Schedule interviews for the senior recruiting team and hiring managers, handling all calendar logistics via Outlook.
3. Data Integrity & Operations
- Maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) by entering new candidate data and updating statuses in real-time.
- Post and refresh job descriptions across various job boards.
- Assist with formatting resumes to match company standards before client submission.
Who You Are
- A clear communicator: You are comfortable on the phone and can write professional, typo-free emails.
- Curious & Persistent: You enjoy the "hunt" of finding the right person for a hard-to-fill role.
- Tech-Savvy: You pick up new software quickly. Familiarity with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Microsoft Outlook, or any standard ATS is a plus.
- Highly Organized: You can juggle scheduling for multiple calendars without missing a beat.
Requirements
- Education: Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Junior/Senior standing preferred) or have recently completed a Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: 0–2 years of experience in recruiting, HR, sales, or a high-volume administrative role (internships count).
- Availability: Ability to commit to 20- 25 hours per week during standard business hours.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
- Located in Houston or willing to commute to our Post Oak office
