Position Overview
Buckhead Flats Apartments is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Part-Time Porter to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall curb appeal of our apartment community. This position plays a key role in creating an exceptional living experience for our residents by ensuring the property remains clean, safe, and welcoming.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Approximately 20 hours per week
Primary Responsibilities
The Apartment Porter will be responsible for maintaining the community's common areas and assisting with general property upkeep, including:
- Pick up trash and debris throughout the property
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Clean breezeways, hallways, stairwells, sidewalks, and parking areas
- Keep the leasing office, lobby, laundry room, mail area, and other common areas clean
- Assist with apartment turns by removing trash and preparing units for new residents
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and vandalism to management
- Help maintain landscaping by removing litter and light debris
- Clean windows, doors, and outdoor furniture as needed
- Assist with deliveries and moving supplies
- Set up for resident events when requested
- Perform other general groundskeeping duties assigned by management
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous apartment, hotel, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience is a plus
- Positive attitude with strong work ethic
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Friendly and professional customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, walk, climb stairs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to and from work
