Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Apartment Porter/Groundskeeper to maintain the beauty, safety, and functionality of our residential community. This energetic role involves performing outdoor grounds maintenance, landscaping, and general upkeep to ensure an inviting environment for residents and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, outdoor work experience, and a passion for landscaping and grounds care. Your efforts will directly contribute to the overall appeal and safety of the property, creating a welcoming atmosphere that residents are proud to call home.
Duties
- Maintain the overall cleanliness, appearance, and curb appeal of the community at all times.
- Walk the property daily to ensure all common areas, breezeways, sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaped areas are clean and free of litter and debris.
- Empty and maintain all community trash receptacles, pet waste stations, and common area waste containers.
- Clean breezeways, stairwells, hallways, entryways, and other common areas to company standards.
- Clean and maintain all community amenities, including the pool deck, clubhouse, fitness center, dog park, playgrounds, grilling stations, and outdoor gathering areas.
- Monitor the pool area throughout the day by removing debris, wiping down furniture, emptying trash, and ensuring the area remains clean and inviting (does not include pool chemical maintenance unless certified).
- Replace exterior and common area light bulbs as needed and report lighting issues requiring repair.
- Assist with pressure washing sidewalks, breezeways, curbs, buildings, and other community surfaces as directed.
- Pick up bulk trash and assist with preparing vacant apartment exteriors for new move-ins.
- Remove cobwebs, leaves, dirt, and other debris from buildings and common areas.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, vandalism, and property damage promptly.
- Assist the maintenance team with minor maintenance tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Support community events by preparing and cleaning amenity spaces before and after events.
- Ensure the property consistently presents a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, and prospective residents.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
