Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our material processing facility in Lewisburg, TN. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, a strong commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. Candidates with waste management experience are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate heavy equipment, including: Excavator, Skid Steer, Front-End Loader, Backhoe Telehandler Forklift
• Receive, move, and process materials using heavy equipment and conveyor systems.
• Direct incoming and outgoing site traffic.
• Perform routine housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Assist maintenance personnel with equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Handle alternative fuel, municipal solid waste, solid waste residue, and wastewater according to company procedures.
• Perform painting, cleaning, and other general facility maintenance tasks as needed.
• Identify and report equipment issues to help prevent damage and ensure safe operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators and front-end loaders.
• Strong experience operating excavation equipment and skid steers.
• Previous experience in waste management or material processing is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred (GED assistance program available for eligible employees).
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and excellent attendance.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, and work throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to qualify for and wear a full-face respirator.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
