Pay Rate: $21–$22 /hr

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM,Occasional weekends may be required.

Duration : 3 Months Contract (Without Benefits )

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to support operations at a Material Processing Facility (MPF) in Lewisburg, TN. This position involves operating various types of heavy and industrial equipment, processing materials, and performing manual tasks to support daily facility operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience operating excavators, skid steers, and forklifts, along with a strong work ethic, good attendance, a positive attitude, and flexibility to meet production demands.

This is a temporary position with the potential for temp-to-hire for candidates who demonstrate strong work ethic and consistent attendance.

• Safely operate heavy equipment, including excavators, skid steers, front-end loaders, backhoes, telehandlers, forklifts, and other industrial equipment.
• Receive, handle, and process materials using industrial equipment, material-handling equipment, conveyor systems, and hand tools.
• Perform manual tasks to assist with material processing and the movement of materials into and out of equipment.
• Control traffic for incoming and outgoing vehicles and materials.
• Assist facility mechanics with equipment repairs and take appropriate action to prevent equipment damage or personnel injuries.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and assist with minor equipment repairs.
• Handle alternative fuel (AEF), municipal solid waste, solid waste residue, and wastewater in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Perform painting, cleaning, and other facility maintenance duties as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.

• Minimum of one year of experience operating industrial heavy equipment, such as excavators and front-end loaders.
• Strong hands-on experience operating excavators and skid steers.
• Forklift operating experience.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment while also performing manual material-handling and processing tasks.
• Strong work ethic, good attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude.
• Flexible availability to accommodate occasional schedule adjustments and weekend work.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a production or material-processing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse experience is a plus.
• Production environment experience is a plus.
• Background in waste management is a plus.

Candidates must be able to:

• Walk, stand, sit, and climb as required.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
• Work consistently in varying weather conditions.
