Job Title: Accounting Coordinator
Location: ST. JOSEPH, MO 64503
Duration: 3 months(Temp to Hire)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to provide accounting and billing support, ensuring accurate customer invoicing, payment processing, revenue reconciliation, and month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate and mail customer invoices and verify the accuracy of billing and payment transactions.
• Maintain accurate billing rates and document payment exceptions and manual adjustments.
• Prepare monthly accruals for unpaid invoices as part of the month-end closing process.
• Reconcile revenue transactions and extract data from JDE (JD Edwards) to support monthly reporting and management inquiries.
• Develop billing system queries to provide requested financial and operational information.
• Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and supporting documentation.
• Perform calculations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing or payment errors.
• Ensure proper recordkeeping, confidentiality, and compliance with established accounting procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• 1–2 years of experience working in an accounting environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic accounting principles, including GAAP.
• Experience with billing, invoicing, payment reconciliation, or accounting records is preferred.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidential information and communicate professionally.

Education: A two-year degree in Accounting is preferred.
