Buckeye Detection Systems is hiring a Gas Detection Sales Manager to drive new business and grow existing accounts across the United States. If you know gas detection inside and out and love the hunt, we want to talk.
What You'll Do- Open new accounts through cold calling, prospecting, and territory work
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships
- Travel to customer sites for surveys, demos, and training (50–70%)
- Spec the right fixed and portable solutions based on application, target gas, and code requirements
- Build quotes, negotiate, and close
- Keep an accurate pipeline and forecast in CRM
- 5 years of outside sales in gas detection, industrial safety, or instrumentation
- Proven cold-calling and quota-crushing track record
- Working knowledge of catalytic bead, IR, electrochemical, PID, and MOS sensors
- Familiarity with H₂S, CO, O₂, LEL, VOCs, and other common target gases
- Understanding of OSHA, NFPA, ISA, and hazardous-location standards
- Self-directed, road-ready, and comfortable owning a territory
- Valid driver's license
Bonus points for: existing contacts in oil & gas, chemical, wastewater, semiconductor, or manufacturing — and experience designing fixed systems integrated with BMS, DCS, or fire panels.
