Role Description
We are hiring a full-time Lead Creative for Jesser’s Main YouTube Channel, based on-site in Los Angeles, CA. This role reports directly to the Head of Creative and Development.
The Lead Creative is responsible for big-idea generation, viral concepts, and high-level creative direction. You will develop platform-native video ideas, craft polished intros and hooks, build re-engagement moments, and ensure every project is packaged for maximum retention and shareability. You will collaborate closely with producers, shooters, editors, and designers to execute at a high level and keep the channel ahead of trends in sports and entertainment.
The ideal candidate is a self-driven creative who lives and breathes YouTube, thinks in concepts rather than tasks, and understands how to make content that people cannot stop watching.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to generate viral, high-impact ideas for Youtube audiences
- Deep understanding of YouTube fundamentals including polished intros, strong hooks, viewer re-engagement, retention strategies, pacing, and packaging
- Comfortable directing shoots on set and working with production teams to execute shoots seamlessly
- Problem solver who can adjust to rapid change
- Ability to reverse-engineer successful formats and adapt them to the Jesser universe
- Strong writing and communication skills for scripting, pitching, and guiding creative execution
- Experience developing cohesive creative systems across video, social, and brand touchpoints
- Leadership qualities with the ability to direct, motivate, and elevate a creative team
- Hands-on experience in digital media or content production
- Passion for sports, entertainment, and youth culture
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-output environment that prioritizes iteration and speed
- Familiarity with analytics and performance metrics to guide creative decision-making
