Kids Ministry Director
Buck Creek Community Church
Role
- To help nursery through fifth-grade children find and follow Jesus by building and supporting a healthy volunteer team and creating a safe, welcoming Sunday environment.
Hours
- 5 hours per week.
- Sundays on site 9-11:30
- Occasional church events throughout week
- Planning and preparation 1.5 hours per week
- Must be ready to receive guests by 9:40 AM on Sunday mornings.
Compensation
- $16-19 per hour, depending on experience.
Supervisor
- Lead Pastor
Key Responsibilities
- Spiritual Leadership
- Pray regularly for each Kids Ministry volunteer and each child in the ministry.
- Foster a Gospel-centered environment where children can grow in faith.
Volunteer Leadership
- Recruit volunteers for:
- Sunday check-in
- Nursery care
- K–2 teaching team
- 3–5 teaching team
- Be prepared to step into any role when volunteers are unavailable.
- Celebrate and encourage volunteers regularly.
Sunday Morning Operations
- Ensure all children and families are welcomed and checked in smoothly.
- Prepare and stock “Busy Bags.”
- Coordinate classroom readiness and supplies.
Safety & Policies
- Communicate and reinforce the church’s approved safety policies.
- Regularly evaluate procedures and ensure they are being followed.
Supplies & Facilities
- Work with the Church Administrator to coordinate:
- Curriculum
- Snacks
- Art supplies
- Ministry equipment
- Ensure classrooms and nursery spaces are cleaned by janitorial teams.
Partnerships
- Utilize training and support resources from Ada Bible Church, our ministry partner.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
