Position Summary:
This hybrid role requires a proactive and organized individual who can manage daily technician dispatch and coordination, while also supporting project planning, resource allocation, and milestone tracking for IT service projects across the US and Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
Technician Dispatch & Coordination
- Assign, schedule, and dispatch IT field technicians based on skill sets, availability, and location.
- Serve as the central point of contact between field technicians, clients, and internal project teams.
- Monitor service queues, prioritize urgent issues, and ensure timely response to tickets.
- Provide real-time updates on technician assignments, job progress, and service status.
Project Management Support
- Support the execution of IT field projects such as hardware rollouts, network upgrades, and POS installations.
- Track project milestones, technician deliverables, and cross-project dependencies.
- Maintain accurate records, including work orders, scopes of work, site instructions, and closeout documentation.
- Coordinate and deploy field resources to meet project timelines and service level agreements (SLAs).
Client & Team Communication
- Maintain clear, professional communication with clients regarding technician schedules, job updates, and escalations.
- Collaborate with internal departments including Procurement, Asset Management, and Help Desk to ensure project readiness.
- Conduct follow-ups after service completion to verify delivery and gather performance feedback.
Financial Oversight
- Manage technician labor rates and travel costs in line with company policy.
- Review and validate technician invoices and billing hours for accuracy.
- Support profitability by monitoring work order margins and ensuring proper documentation for invoicing and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in IT field services dispatching, scheduling, or coordination.
- 2 years of experience in IT project support or project coordination.
- Solid understanding of field service workflows and IT infrastructure (e.g., networking, cabling, hardware deployment).
- Proficiency with dispatching/ticketing platforms (e.g., WorkMarket, Field Nation, ServiceNow).
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
