We are seeking a talented Senior Girls Activewear Designer to join our team on-site in New York, NY. This is a full-time role requiring an experienced designer to lead the creative process for girls activewear collections. Responsibilities include trend research, concept development, creating sketches and tech packs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring production aligns with design intent. Additionally, the Senior Designer will manage garment fittings, oversee fabric and trim selection, and maintain adherence to quality and safety standards. This role involves driving creativity while ensuring designs meet market demands and brand aesthetics.
- Expertise in Fashion Design, specializing in activewear or children's apparel, with strong sketching and technical design skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and design tools
- Experience in trend forecasting, concept development, and fabric/trim selection
- Strong understanding of garment construction and ability to conduct and manage fittings
- Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including technical design, production, and merchandising
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
- Prior experience designing for girls' apparel is highly preferred
- Knowledge of industry compliance and safety regulations is a plus
