BTI currently seeks a shift supervisor with unquestionable integrity who displays a mature attitude and good judgment.
- Shift Supervisors, in the absence of the Project or Alternate Project Manager, shall be responsive to the direction of the COR involving performance or delivery requirements.
- Shift Supervisors, under the direction of the Project or Alternate Project Manager, shall be responsible for ensuring that all Security Posts are supervised and manned according to the Security Posts Schedule, Location, and manning document.
- Shift Supervisors shall verify that the Security Operations Center (SOC) has received all incident reports for their shifts and that any issue that has or might impact the security or safety of staff, patrons, visitors, or property is brought to the attention of the Project Manager.
- Shift Supervisors shall keep the Project Manager apprised of security and/or EMT responses, performance issues, and training needs.
- Shift Supervisors shall be United States of America citizens. They shall have at least three (3) years’ experience in law enforcement or security or a combination of both, and at least one (1) year of armed security experience. Shift Supervisors shall possess a high school diploma or equivalency; however, an AA/AS degree is preferable.
- Shift Supervisors shall carry a current SPO license issued by the District of Columbia (DC) Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Security Officers Management Branch (SOMB)
- Shift Supervisors shall demonstrate the capability to supervise the SPOs (Armed, Unarmed, and EMT) assigned to their shift.
- Shift Supervisors shall be articulate and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
- Shift Supervisors shall be in appropriate uniform attire, groomed, and equipped.
- Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a customer service-driven mindset
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers
- Shall be physically able to perform tasks in the performance of assigned duties
- Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping up to 12 hours per day, either indoors or outdoors
- Ability to remain alert for up to 12 hours, with the ability to mentally and physically react quickly to a variety of unexpected and dangerous situations
