Job Overview
Join our work crew as we look to finish the summer construction season. Looking to hire multiple hard working and dependable individuals to assist us with the numerus projects we have coming up now and in the future. As a utility contractor we have year around work and a typical work day consists of 8-12 hours of outdoor work (weather dependent). To go along with your hourly wage we also give a daily per diem to each employee to help with living expense and daily necessities for things such a rent, meals and fuel. The main area of focus for our work is in the electrical distribution side of construction. Putting cable in the ground or stringing wire through electrical poles are some of the main actions performed for the projects we build. In our daily work we use Backoes, Skidsteers, Trenchers, and Bore Machines as well as Hydro Vacs and Bucket Trucks. We encourage anyone with experience using these machines or anyone willing to learn how to safely operate these machines to apply.
Responsibilities
- Able to show up on time & on location for the start of the work day Monday-Friday
- Assist with building structures and handling materials
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely
- Able to follow engineered plans and drawings to complete projects
- Take directions from crew leaders and perform as requested
- Communicate with crew members clearly and effectively
- Perform general maintenance on machinery and structures
- Follow workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean & organized work environment
- Work with team members on new projects, services, & outages in a safe and welcoming work environment
Requirements
- Able to work in the Sidney, MT area
- Ability to drive vehicles with trailers & a valid drivers license
- Dependable work ethic and ability to operate hand tools, power tools, & heavy equipment.
- Ability to follow directions and construction plans accurately.
- Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and best practices for safe operations on-site.
- Physical capability for medium to heavy lifting, working at heights, or in confined spaces as required
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or experience operating heavy machinery is a plus.
Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
