Under the direction of the Director of Estimating/Business Development, the Estimator accurately compiles the projected costs of a future construction project to aid management in bidding for jobs. Additionally, the Estimator establishes relationships with current and new clients to ensure business growth..
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Representing BTC and aligning with our culture and core values
- Full Bid Creation for water/wastewater pipeline projects, including thorough take-offs, project site review, pricing, subcontractor, and supplier quote analysis, and negotiations
- Hand-offs of successful bids to the Project Team
- Familiar with B2W or similar estimating software
- Bid document submittal experience required
- Design Build, CM/GC, and other alternative project delivery experience
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Construction Management or Civil Engineering degree preferred
- 3-5 years related experience and/or training
- Knowledge of estimating software, such as B2W, Hard Dollar or Heavy Bid
- Safe driving record
- Clear and logical thought process, great organizational skills
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- VISTA software knowledge a plus
- The ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment
