Job Description
The Culinary Aide provides above average hospitality services. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by BSG Maintenance location based on client requirements and business needs.
Culinary Aide Responsibilities
- Meal Service: Take orders and serve meals to residents.
- Meal Prep: Helps with food prep as assigned. Stock serving areas. Set up dining areas.
- Cleaning: Clean and sanitize all equipment, appliances, and work areas. Assist with cleaning of dining rooms. Utilize dishwasher appropriately and put away clean dishes. Light cleaning of common areas.
- Food Storage: Ensures food and other items are stocked and stored properly. Maintain storage areas.
- Reporting: Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate supervisor. Understand nutritional requirements for residents. Record drink temperatures and dish machine.
- Resident Interaction: Be polite and helpful to residents, responding to their requests and inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other staff to ensure efficient and thorough services of all areas assigned. Maintain a professional relationship with co-workers & other staff.
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to use a dishwasher and record temperatures.
- Ability to pass a TB Test and Healthcare background check.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as needed.
- Ability to get to and from work reliably when scheduled.
