Description
The Bryant & Stratton College Continuing Education Division is seeking an Early Childhood Instructor at the Wauwatosa Campus for the evening program. Seeking 1-2 individuals to support coursework required for CDA licensure path.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate in-person, once a week, seminar course to support the program.
- Teach 3-6 contact hours in Early Childhood Education based on qualifications and college need, following standardized curriculum in an online format.
- Provide skills assistance and tutoring.
- Attend and participate in department meetings and faculty in-services.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- To facilitate seminar courses (in-person instruction): Bachelors’ degree or higher is preferred in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Development, Early Childhood Studies, Early Childhood Leadership, Child Care, or equivalent. Must have CDA credential.
- To teach program courses (online format): Master’s degree or higher, in field in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Development, Early Childhood Studies, Early Childhood Leadership, Child Care, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and student success.
- Knowledge of general Microsoft computer software, online publisher platforms, and student management platforms (i.e., Blackboard). Ability to quickly adapt to new platforms.
- Strong team player and work collaboratively on assigned projects.
- Ability to make meaningful and positive connections with diverse student body in a career college environment.
