- Responsible for performing functions as authorized under the direct supervision of an echocardiography tech.
- Performs basic echocardiography through TTE’s (trans thoracic echo) scans to include patient care, reporting patient conditions, circumstances, and maintaining equipment and unit cleanliness.
- The Clinical intern must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit.
- May be required to work irregular schedules.
- Potential exposure to hazard materials/situations to include but not limited to, blood-borne pathogens, ionizing radiation, and communicable diseases.
Job Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be enrolled in an accredited General Sonography program with an anticipated program completion within 24 months from the date hire.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
