Responsibilities
- Lead strategic sourcing projects by analyzing market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers to identify optimal procurement opportunities.
- Develop and execute comprehensive category management strategies that align with organizational goals and procurement policies.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, ensuring favorable terms, compliance with procurement regulations, and risk mitigation.
- Manage supplier relationships through ongoing performance evaluations, root cause analysis of issues, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and e-procurement platforms to streamline procurement workflows and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate across departments including logistics, quality management, materials management, and project management teams to support supply chain efficiency.
- Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify new sources of supply and innovative procurement solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience in procurement management with a focus on strategic sourcing and contract negotiation within complex supply chains.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, and other e-procurement tools.
- Demonstrated expertise in vendor contract management, supplier management experience, and procurement regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with procurement category management, public sector purchasing practices, and logistics operations.
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with the ability to conduct direct negotiations for procurement contracts.
- Project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Analytical mindset with experience in root cause analysis, pricing strategies, quality management, and materials management.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles including MRP (Material Requirements Planning), logistics coordination, and procurement process optimization.
